The Centre for Samoan Studies offers courses in three programmes:

  • Samoan language, Customs and Culture
  • Archaeology and Cultural Heritage
  • Development Studies

Archaeology and Cultural Heritage

A course is offered at foundation level, and the programme may be taken as major or minor in the Bachelor of Samoan Studies or Bachelor of Arts. Samoa’s cultural heritage is still being discovered. Samoan Culture and Language

Courses are offered at Foundation level, and as a major in the Bachelor, Post Graduate Diploma, and Master of Samoan Studies. Knowledge of Samoan language and customs helps us live and prosper in Samoan society, as well as to preserve traditional knowledge within our living modern culture. Development Studies

Samoa is a developing country with issues in common with other Pacific Island countries and small island states.
