What is the Samoan Language, Customs and Culture (SLCC) Programme?

Knowledge of Samoan language and customs helps us live and prosper in Samoan society, as well as to preserve traditional knowledge within our living modern culture. The Samoan Language, Customs and Culture (SLCC) Programme enables students to speak, write and articulate the Samoan language in its many forms. In addition, the SLCC programme develops students’ knowledge and skills in the performance of customary protocols, performing arts, oral history and tradition, and material culture, which, together, inform Samoan Culture (fa’aSamoa).

Courses are offered at Foundation level, and as a major in the Bachelor, Post Graduate Diploma, and Master of Samoan Studies.
